BFPA Economic Forecast Seminar – 5 October 2022

The 2022 BFPA Economic Forecast Seminar will take place as a face to face event this year on Wednesday 5 October 2022. Speakers will be Jeremy Leonard, Director of Industry Services, Oxford Economics, David Lennard, Head of Business Engagement and Enterprise, Bristol Robotics Laboratory (BRL) and Dr. Abdul Farooq, Associate Head of Department, Business Engagement and Partnerships, UWE.

Oxford Economics will present its latest five year forecast for the UK hydraulics and pneumatics provide an overview of the world economy and key trends for the industry sectors affecting fluid power, and present Oxford Economics’ latest 2022-2026 UK Fluid Power Forecast. David Lennard and Dr Abdul Farooq will give an overview of the work taking place at Bristol Robotics Laboratory and the new state of the art facilities in UWE’s Department of Engineering, Design and Mathematics, followed by lunch and BRL and UWE Engineering Department tours.

In addition, delegates will receive a copy of the slides from the presentations and free monthly economic updates for the following twelve months in the form of Oxford Economics’ “World Economic Prospects” monthly bulletin. (October 2022 to September 2023).
