Health, Safety & Environment

Driving Safety, Efficiency and Sustainability in Fluid Power with BFPA’s Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Forum.

Our HSE Forum has been established to bring members together to tackle the key safety and environmental challenges facing the fluid power industry today.

Created specifically for the hydraulic, pneumatic and motion control sector, the forum provides a collaborative platform to share expertise, practical solutions and real-world experience, helping organisations continuously improve their health, safety and environmental performance.

The fluid power industry presents unique risks – from high-pressure systems and stored energy hazards to fluid contamination, leaks and environmental impact.

The HSE Forum exists to help members:

  • Reduce risk and prevent incidents
  • Strengthen regulatory compliance
  • Improve operational safety and sustainability
  • Stay aligned with industry best practice

Through open discussion and knowledge sharing, members gain access to insights that directly support safer and more efficient operations.

The forum encourages voluntary and anonymised sharing of accident and near-miss data, and emerging trends and industry risks to help identify common issues and drive meaningful improvement across the sector.

The outcomes of the HSE Forum are designed to deliver real value to BFPA members. Insights, guidance and best practice shared through the forum will help shape practical resources, which are made available through the members-only area of the BFPA website. This dedicated space provides access to a growing library of valuable health, safety and environmental content, supporting members in applying learning, improving performance and driving continuous improvement within their organisations.
