Andy Dickens joins BFPA’s industry leading learning and development team

As part of BFPA’s ongoing commitment to raising standards across the fluid power  industry, the association has strengthened its training and technical support capability  with two new appointments.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the fluid power industry, Andy Dickens has joined BFPA as Training Technical Manager. He has held senior roles in technical sales, product management and training at several major fluid power companies, bringing with him a wealth of technical knowledge and hands‑on training expertise.

In this new position, Andy will provide technical support to members and contribute to the delivery of BFPA’s training courses and qualifications, working alongside approved training providers nationwide.

With 22 approved companies now authorised to deliver BFPA training, the programme continues to grow in scale and reputation. These organisations deliver one or more of the BFPA’s specialised courses, covering hose technology, hydrostatic pressure testing, twin ferrule compression fittings, hydraulics and pneumatics. Nearly 20,000 individuals have now been trained to an industry standard—reflecting BFPA’s continued leadership in setting high‑quality training benchmarks both in the UK and internationally.
