22 May 2018
Bosch Rexroth, the Drive & Control company, and BFPA member, is taking its Technology Showcase on the road this summer, helping visitors get to grips with the latest innovations in connected engineering solutions and ensure their facilities are fully equipped for Industry 4.0.
Kicking off at Coventry’s Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC) on 12 June, visitors will be able to experience the world of connected engineering – from Connected Hydraulics and Smart Machines through to Smart Services and Connected Factories – as part of the event. A host of speakers will also lead discussions around key industry trends, in addition to open discussions about the future of drive & control technology.
Also featuring Bosch Rexroth’s Connected Hydraulics Truck, the Showcase will enable visitors to get to grips with the latest products which will ensure they are able to make the most of opportunities for greater efficiency and productivity brought about by Industry 4.0. Rexroth’s team of experts will also be on hand to provide advice and support with any challenges visitors are experiencing in their facilities.
“For manufacturers beginning to develop their approaches to implementing Industry 4.0 in their facilities, our Technology Showcase is an unmissable event,” says Jake Mitchell, Product Manager for Hydraulics at Bosch Rexroth. “We’ve seen a number of significant developments in hydraulics in recent years, as well as in electric, linear and mobile technology, which have helped to move traditional forms of equipment into the modern day by using smart technology and electronic controls to improve performance and efficiency.
“Our event is specifically designed to aid people’s understanding of these developments and see for themselves how they could make their facilities fit for the future. It’s also an opportunity for people of all engineering disciplines to come along and learn more about the technology which will be used in the industry for years to come, so we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors at each leg of the tour.”
Following its day at the AMTC in Coventry, the Technology Showcase will then make its way to Bosch Rexroth’s site in Wakefield on Thursday 14th June, which will also include a plant tour showing the recently installed Industry 4.0 and augmented reality solutions in action, demonstrating Rexroth’s vision for factories of the future.
