Camozzi swap fluid power for pedal power!
12 Oct 2021
Riders from BFPA member Camozzi Automation Ltd have raised over £2,000 for the Children with Cancer UK organisation, whilst taking part in this year’s London to Brighton charity bike ride.
The ride’s route covered 55 miles from Clapham Common to Brighton seafront, in varying weather conditions ranging from bright sunshine to pouring rain and included the notorious Ditchling Beacon climb; a challenging 0.9 miles with an average gradient of 9%.
Originally scheduled for September 2020, the event was postponed due to Covid, giving the Camozzi team the opportunity to fit in more training, with long serving senior area manager Ross Scott returning from his recent retirement to take part.
Camozzi Automation Ltd Managing director Adrian Farnham commented: “It was great to finally take part after last year’s disappointment. We have quite a few keen cyclists in our ranks and it’s a great opportunity for some out of work socialising, whilst also keeping fit and raising funds for a very good cause in the process.”
