During a recent visit to OES Hose Division, BFPA CEO Nigel Thomason was given an insight into the company’s approach to hose management, training, and operational reliability.

OES has developed its Hose Division around four key principles: employing BFPA-trained and certified personnel, utilising approved equipment and processes, maintaining high operational standards, and embracing technology-driven systems. Together, these elements support efficient working practices, consistency, and asset reliability across customer operations.

Nigel also had the opportunity to see the division’s specialist facilities and equipment, which are designed to support offshore applications and demanding operating environments. The company’s use of digital systems and structured maintenance processes helps promote knowledge sharing, traceability, and effective asset management.

The visit highlighted the continued investment being made in skills, technology, and best practice across the fluid power industry, supporting safe and reliable operations for customers in challenging sectors.
