BFPA calls for abstracts for new International Conference on ‘Managing Fluid and Lubricant Contamination’ in Sept 2018

31 Oct 2017

The British Fluid Power Association and the University of Bath, Centre for Power Transmission and Motion Control are organising a week of conferences on aspects of fluid power and motion control in September 2018, with the BFPA organising an international conference on:

Managing Fluid and Lubricant Contamination

This conference will confirm the importance of minimising hydraulic fluid and lubricant contamination and how recent developments may be changing our appreciation of what constitutes ‘cleanliness’.

The principal themes of the conference are: Contaminant formation, varnish, developments in test methods for assessing fluid and lubricant  cleanliness, changes to the classification of cleanliness, the control of fluid cleanliness and contamination by air, water and particulates and case studies of problems associated with cleanliness and contamination.

A table-top exhibition of products related to these themes will be held adjacent to the conference hall.

This event will be of value to all end users that need to maintain clean systems; those responsible for fluid and lubricant maintenance, filtration, and condition monitoring in a wide range of applications, and many lubricant and hydraulic fluid professionals.

The British Fluid Power Association would therefore like to invite experts in these fields to share their knowledge and submit an abstract (100-150 words) of a paper or presentation on the above topics or for companies to book space at the exhibition.

Abstracts should be submitted in the first instance to BFPA via Janet Dixon janet@bfpa.co.uk

More information on conference fees, registration, programme details will be available soon on the BFPA website on our Events pages, but in the meantime if you have any questions please contact Janet Dixon  janet@bfpa.co.uk

The BFPA conference will be followed on the 12 – 14 September 2018 by the Bath/ASME International Fluid Power and Motion Control Symposium, FPMC2018. More information is available from the University of Bath on their website (www.bath.ac.uk/ptmc)

Conference attendees will be able to obtain special rates when attending both events.
