Will Broome wins Young Motion Control Engineer Award
27 Apr 2016
Derek Lane & Co are extremely proud to announce that Will Broome, Workshop Supervisor, has been awarded “Young Motion Control Engineer of the Year” at the first Motion Control Industry Awards, held at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham on Tuesday 12th April 2016.
Will started with Derek Lane & Co back in 2008 as an Apprentice Engineer and, since completing his apprenticeship in 2013, has been progressing his role in the company up to present day. Will has over time become a key member of staff in the organisation and with this in mind, the nomination is well deserved.
Derek Lane & Co has been providing hydraulic and pneumatic services to the South West of England and further afield since its inception in 1979. The namesake has since retired but the company is continuing to thrive with directors Rob Woodley and Mark Venn at the helm. With the new ownership has come a significant effort on continual investing and improving of the workforce through training and apprenticeships.
Congratulations to Will from all the staff at Derek Lane & Co for your tremendous and well justified award!
