BFPA Online Training A Great Success

22 May 2020

The BFPA’s two online training courses have proved to be a great success since their introduction in April. Both members and non members have used this opportunity to continue their training and the feedback has been excellent –

Richard Walker from Hose Assembly Technology attended the Thread Awareness online course:

“The course was exactly as advertised i.e. Thread Awareness. It was delivered at a steady pace in a concise way with some excellent tips to remember certain aspects of threads… an ideal course for both people new to the industry or for those with experience but looking to reinforce and expand their existing knowledge”

Adrian Crawley from Allswage UK attended the Working Safely with Hose and Connectors online course:

“A very good introduction to the world of hydraulic hose assembly. Covers the basic principles of fluid movement and the associated dangers involved with working on a hydraulic system, particularly pressure injection issues… I found it very informative and useful”

The benefits of online training have certainly been revealed in these difficult times with delegates attending from as far away as America and Norway. This success has encouraged us here at the BFPA to look at how we can offer further online training to our members and non members. As a result we are now in the final stages of developing an online version of the BFPA 2 day Hose Assembly Skills training course that will run alongside our normal ’face to face’ training and so offer delegates two different training options according to their preferred learning style. Plus this will give employers increased options on how they can fit staff training needs into their existing work routines.

The online programme will be available in modular format with the theoretical elements of the course delivered in two half day interactive online training sessions with the third all day module covering the practical assessments taking place at one of the BFPA’s nominated training facilities when conditions allow us to do so.
