On a gloriously sunny autumnal day, FPIGs met for the third and final meeting of 2018 at Handsworth G.C.

Tony Blease summarises the day well:

Champion Chapman

“I am sure we would all like to congratulate John Chapman for not only being the Handsworth Champion of the Day but also being our Champion of the Year. Handsworth G.C. again proved to be an excellent venue helping to make this season one of the best ever. Another reason why this season has been so successful has been our very good relationship with our friends at BCAS, and the co-operation of Martin Wright. Finally I would like to thank Emma Lear from BFPA for all her help and enthusiasm. Hope you all enjoyed the season and I trust I will see you all next year when we have booked three great venues.”

Other winners from Thursday 27 September and Annual Winners included:
Matthew Reilly from Osprey Engineering was the Runner up of the Day taking home the Linde Hydraulics Trophy. Runner up of the Year, receiving the SMC Rose Bowl, was Malcolm Pratt from AB Hoses and Fittings.

Captains Charity

During Andy Newell’s tenure as BFPA Golf Captain this year, he ran a ‘Captains Charity’ with a 50p penalty given for going into any Par 3 Bunker or Water on the course. A fantastic £300 was raised and has been donated to the Rosemere Cancer Foundation. Andy would like to express his sincere gratitude to all members and guests for their support throughout the year.
