Introducing Lucy Tuckey BFPA’s new Standards Project Administrator

26 May 2022

Lucy Tuckey joined the BFPA as Standards Project Administrator in May 2022, replacing Yvonne Pearman who retired from the BFPA at the end of March after almost 18 years at the Association.

She brings several years’ experience from her previous positions as a Works Coordinator and Assistant Business Analyst to this role; her meticulous attention to detail and great communications skills will be essential in the role.

Lucy is responsible for the co-ordination of all aspects for technical development committees, projects, and programmes primarily on a national setting, working alongside the British Standards Institutions (BSI) as an external secretariat. She currently acts as secretariat for one International Standards Organisation (ISO) working group and one European working group.

Lucy acts as the “Secretariat” and is responsible for arranging running and managing meetings, together with sending out agendas and writing the meeting minutes as well as monitoring and following up on outstanding actions and projects.

As well as working with BSI on standards, Lucy will also oversee the BFPA office compliance and maintenance contracts in order to ensure that everything runs smoothly. This includes liaising with contractors, placing orders for essential items and monitoring service contracts. Lucy will also carry out administration support to the BFPA where needed including maintaining BFPA publications.

For any questions about fluid power industry standards, technical committees or other technical matters, please contact Lucy at the BFPA on 01608 647900 or email her at lucy@bfpa.co.uk
