It’s all change at the BFPA and BFPDA AGMs

This years’ BFPA and BFPDA AGMs were held at the NFPC in Worksop on 15 May 2019 and were attended by many members and guests. As well as the usual formalities required at any Annual General Meeting, the 2019 event saw the inauguration of BFPA’s new President, Hans Waltl, Director at PSI Global Limited, and new BFPA Vice President, Martin Eldridge, General Manager of Parker Hannifin Limited. BFPDA’s new Chairman will be Nigel Thomason, Sales Director of Industrial Ancillaries Limited and the new BFPDA Vice Chairman is Andy Connell, Managing Director of Pirtek Birmingham, Redditch and Wolverhampton.
BFPA’s congratulations go to our new BFPA President Hans Waltl and BFPA Vice President Martin Eldridge who will serve their two years in office from 2019 to 2021. It is also a pleasure to welcome a new member to the BFPA Board: Mike Reece of Emerson (Aventics Limited and ASCO Numatics).
Our best wishes also go to our new BFPDA Chairman Nigel Thomason and new Vice Chairman Andy Connell and three new BFPDA Council members Simon Childs of Interpump Hydraulics UK T/A Bristol Hose, Dan Peters of Pirtek Ashford, Crawley and Nick West of Allswage UK.
In addition, a huge thanks from the BFPA team at Chipping Norton also goes to the outgoing BFPA President Alastair Johnstone, Managing Director of Bosch Rexroth Limited, and outgoing BFPDA Council Chairman Peter Willson, Managing Director of Hopespare Limited, who have done a great job in their two years of office serving the fluid power industry and the BFPA and BFPDA. Alastair and Peter were awarded lifetime Fellowship of the BFPA and awarded plaques at the AGM by BFPA CEO Chris Buxton.
