Bath University ASME symposium on fluid power and motion control 9-11 September 2020

BFPA Education & Training member Bath University would also like to make you aware of the FPMC, the annual Bath/ASME symposium on fluid power and motion control. This year it will be held at the University of Bath from September 9 – 11, 2020. They very much welcome industrial participation, both as presenters and attendees. Date for your Diary…NFPC Seminar on Hydraulic Oil 28 October 2020

NFPC will be holding the first in a series of four seminars on hydraulic oils: OIL – The Life Blood of the Hydraulic System on 28 October 2020. The seminar will cover the key performance attributes of a good hydraulic oil, how to select the correct oil for your application, lubricant manufacturer’s data sheets, OEM recommendation and why this is important, oil selection and Warranty considerations, how oil changes during its service life, factors affecting service life, and controlling these, oil analysis and interpretation of the results, preventative intervention, use of oil sensors to reduce downtime, oil filterability problems associated with the mixing of oils

PPK Services Ltd acquires Kingsley Commercial Components

BFPDA member PPK Services Ltd are delighted to announce that they have acquired Kingsley Commercial Components from Jim Hughes who is retiring after nearly 40 years in the industry. The Kingsley site in Broad Street, Guildford, has been closed and the business relocated to the PPK Aldershot site with PPK looking forward to welcoming all Kingsley customers into the PPK family.

Established in 1999, PPK specialises in hydraulic cylinders, pumps and accumulators, and manufacture new bespoke Cylinders in house to customers’ exact requirements as well as a complete cylinder repair service. The company is a Parker approved Accumulator Recertification and service centre, with fully trained specialist engineers to work safely on hydraulic accumulators and pressure systems, and operates from modern premises in Aldershot, with full in house manufacturing, refurbishment and test facilities, as well as having a well-stocked hose and fitting trade counter is a UK agent for French company Pronal, with its vast range of flexible separators and elastomer products

Webtec book now available on kindle

Now available on Kindle, Webtec’s ‘An Introduction to Practical Hydraulic System Maintenance’, is an essential guide for all fluid power technicians.
