British Bankers Association (BBA)


The BBA is the leading trade association for the UK banking sector with 200 member banks headquartered in over 50 countries with operations in 180 jurisdictions worldwide.  Eighty per cent of global systemically important banks are members of the BBA.  As the representative of the world’s largest international banking cluster the BBA is the voice of UK banking

Being the representative body for the banking community the BBA is a key stakeholder for the BFPA when it comes to lobbying government on financial issues such as late payments and access to funding.  Currently, the BFPA, through EAMA, holds quarterly bi-lateral meetings with the BBA Executive at which a host of issues, pertinent to the best interests of the BFPA membership, are discussed.  They are well respected in Government circles and are valuable partners when engaging with the regulatory and political community.
