The BFPA is proud to support Phoebe as she works to make a meaningful difference to vulnerable communities and safeguard our planet for the future.

My name is Phoebe and I want to make a difference.

As a student, I want to get stuck into something meaningful and be part of real, positive change. This project with Camps International is a chance to step beyond the classroom, roll up my sleeves and make a genuine difference – supporting communities, protecting the environment, and seeing the impact first-hand. It’s a chance to meet inspiring people, gain new skills and know that my time and energy are helping create a better future for people and the planet. I have always had an interest in the environment and our impact on it, how we can help to combat the challenges some communities currently face. Also, as an animal lover with two whippets of my own, I want to be able to support the world’s biodiversity, and I hope with this opportunity, I can make a positive difference.

Ecuador Galápagos Expedition

I will be supporting community projects in rural Ecuador, helping improve access to food, clean water, education, and basic welfare. The programme also includes conservation work in the Galápagos, such as beach clean-ups to protect fragile marine ecosystems. In the Amazon, I will contribute to environmental and community initiatives, including planting food trees and assisting with local construction projects—gaining valuable insight while supporting sustainable, long-term impact.
