Branch Manager

Ram Reman Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rotec Holdings Ltd is looking for an energetic and dynamic Branch Manager with a sale’s driven focus to join our company. The position offers an attractive salary, company car and excellent working conditions for the right candidate.

The applicant must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience within the hydraulic industry, ideally technical conversant with either hydraulic systems or cylinders, have a previous proven track record in sales or as a branch Manager and be able to deliver results.

Responsible for managing the whole site including overhead and cost budgets within agreed guidelines to ensure profitability of the company reporting firstly to the Managing Director.

Main Responsibilities: (Key results areas)

  • Take overall responsibility for the day to day running of the Branch by providing first class sales support and ensuring that the Branch runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Promote the Company proactively and with a dynamic approach ensuring expansion of the depot and the sales of the products available from the company’s portfolio and the existing manufacturing skill sets on a local, regional and national basis are easily accessible. Core sales activities related to Hydraulic Cylinder manufacturing business are crucial, although supporting products lines (hose & connectors) and expansion of the business by also offering the range of products and services offered by the parent company will strengthen the business long term
  • Work closely with the Technical Manager to ensure customers’ requirements including statutory obligations are met, delivered on time and in budget.
  • Working closely with the Group agree and implement the Company Strategy Working
  • Meeting/exceeding the agreed financial performance for the Company
  • Support the administrative task within the sales office ensuring that documentation produced is accurate and in line with company procedures. This line of support will involve supervising your staff or raising actions with senior management
  • Promptly action customer enquiries and leads. Direct and coordinate new and potential enquiries to appropriate to Technical and Sales support staff.
  • Take responsibility for assigned accounts with a view to developing new business targeted by the company
  • Maintain and monitor the company CRM system quotation system with a view to maximizing potential leads and enquiries.
  • Advise and discuss with purchasing of future inventory requirements or changes based on new and potential business as and when they occur.
  • Ensure adequate staff levels to cover absences and peak workloads

Other Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regular contact with the key customers serviced from the depot
  • Ensure best possible procurement from strategic suppliers
  • Ensure all personnel matters are resolved in accordance with the company’s guidelines
  • Ensure a competent person is appointed at his depot to maintain Health & Safety standards as stipulated by law and the company’s guidelines
  • Carry out performance appraisals with all subordinates on an ongoing basis
  • Assist with Technical solutions as and when required
  • Follow company quality management system, procedures and health & safety guidelines.
  • Carry out performance appraisals with all subordinates on an ongoing basis
  • Writing reports for senior management
  • Organizing and chairing meetings with other staff
  • Oversee recruitment of new staff, including training and induction in consultation with the board of directors.
  • Attend conferences and training
  • Plan and assist with sales initiatives
  • Work closely with the Group to explore new business opportunities
