The first Ross valve was introduced more than 70 years ago. Although it was designed and built to meet the specific needs of one customer, it soon became popular with many other customers in a wide range of industries. That very successful experience taught us an important lesson: When you satisfy real customer needs, you re doing more than just building valves; you re building a business. Since that time, Ross has developed hundreds of new products; all designed to better meet the needs of our customers. Many of those products have been forerunners of entirely new classes of valves. Base-mounted valves, solenoid-piloted valves, self monitoring double valves, and the now famous L-O-X lockout and exhaust valves are just a few examples of innovative new products, designed by Ross in response to specific customer requests. With the advent of the computer as a design and engineering tool, new methods of product development and manufacturing also became available. Today, Ross engineers develop new products based on a wealth of company expertise about pneumatic systems, gained through more than 70 years of valve design and manufacturing. Now, in the 1990s, we are introducing the next generation of air control systems.
