The European Hose & Connector Division of Gates operates from factories in the UK, France and Belgium, with stocking distributors in all major strategic locations. Owned by Tomkins plc, the company is a subsidiary of the Gates Rubber Company of Denver, Colorado, which employs 24,000 people worldwide in 42 factories, covering 15 countries. Warehouse and sales facilities are located in 37 US States and 15 countries.
Gates hoses are produced to the relevant SAE, EN (DIN) and ISO specifications, as well as many of Gates own proprietary specifications for special applications. The complementary coupling ranges meet all the major international specifications, in both performance and terminations types.
Hose and hose tube assemblies produced are supplied for every kind of industrial application and are first choice for many of the world's major machinery manufacturers. The technical strength of the Gates operations allows close liaison with customers from design and development, through prototype production to volume manufacture, with continual value analysis to ensure optimum cost effectiveness as well as technical performance. Distributors of the Gates' product range are equipped with Gates' own assembly machinery and receive training, enabling them to provide assemblies to the same high standard as Gates manufacturing plants.
