International Fluid Power Presentations April 2021

28 Apr 2021

Leaders from fluid power trade associations around the world came together for a virtual web conference at an “International Fluid Power Summit Meeting”, held on 21 April 2021 to discuss the state of the fluid power economy around the world. These meetings would normally coincide with the Hannover Messe or another Fluid Power exhibition but took place in 2021 as a standalone meeting organised by CETOP.

All the presentations can also be downloaded from the BFPA Members Login pages under MEMBERS STATISTICS / CETOP /ISC Meetings – Proceedings of Interest but are included in this article as downloads for ease of access [contact BFPA for your Login details].

The meeting kicked off with a presentation by Anke Uhlig of the VDMA “Global Mechanical Engineering Outlook: Speed of recovery varies” which considered China as leading the world recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic, as other countries lag behind but are heading in the right direction depending on what stage they are of lockdown etc.

The International Statistics Committee (ISC) then gave a summary presentation on “International Fluid Power Statistics”. The BFPA, along with other CETOP national fluid power trade associations including ROW members of the International Statistics Committee (ISC), reports figures into the various surveys run on behalf of the ISC by the VDMA. The various graphs and charts refer to the annual ISC survey for 2019 and Q4 2020 Trend Surveys.
