Business Development Manager

BSP Hydraulics Limited are a leading UK distributor of premier hydraulic products and we’re seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team. Distributing a large product range for leading brands including Parker, Hydro Leduc and many more. The Business Development role involves travelling in order to represent the company with the vision of developing sales and managing current accounts within your territory. Reporting to our General Sales Manager, you will be responsible for achieving new growth and maintaining customer relationships. Therefore, the successful candidate will be customer focused, driven and self-motivated and ready to join an established and reputable company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customers within your territory
  • Develop and build relationships and credibility with customers within your territory
  • Develop new customer sales within your territory
  • Source and identify new project prospects
  • Liaise with customers offering technical support, quotations, training and visits.

Skills & Competences:

  • Current sales experience, selling a technical product
  • Hydraulic knowledge
  • Knowledge of EV for truck/mobile equipment would be beneficial
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Focused and goal orientated
  • High level of interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with new and existing customers, suppliers and employees.
  • Background in account management/sales
  • Driving licence
