Hydraulic/Electrical Engineer

We’re a growing company within the distribution sector and due to continued expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen at BSP Hydraulics Ltd. We’re looking for a candidate who has an interest in engineering to help us further develop our hydraulic, electrical drives and control sales. We wish to recruit an enthusiastic & ambitious individual for the position of Hydraulic/Electrical engineer who will be based at our Normanton office.

The ideal candidate will within our sales department and work on specifying our products into system designs. They will also have experience and knowledge within the field of hydraulic and electrical engineering and be someone who find solutions and who can follow through from enquiries to prototype.

Responsibilities will include:

You will be a key member of our sales team, and day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Generate sales
  • Offer technical support to customers
  • Produce & manage quotations
  • Following up sales leads

We require an organised team player, who has the ability to work on your own initiative using your strong technical and interpersonal skills to aid the company’s growth.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Sound hydraulic experience
  • It would be beneficial to have electrical knowledge/Parker IQAN control
  • Knowledge of EPTO systems for electric truck, mobile equipment would be a benefit
  • Ability to understand customer technical requirements and interpret customer specifications
  • Excellent Communicator
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Positive team player & highly organised individual
  • Flexible approach of day-to-day requirements
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Operate within our quality management system (ISO 9001:2015)

Permanent Role – Full Time

Monday to Friday (8.15am – 5pm)

Salary is negotiable dependant on experience.
