North Region UK Sales Manager


Role Purpose:

Sun Hydraulics Limited are looking for a person to develop, maintain and strengthen the market share of Sun Hydraulics products and system solutions for the North region of the UK. Providing comprehensive sales management, overseeing sales activates and relationship development with customers, ensuring customers are delighted and generating new business. Liaising with internal departments to ensure the effective provision of information, enabling successful completion of customer projects/requirements.

The candidate should be from the industry with some sales experience, however we are happy to consider applicants with more limited sales experience if they have the right qualities for the role. Salary will be competitive based upon experience, with benefits of a company car, laptop, health care scheme, pension and bonus. A clean driving licence is required.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success.
  • Develop positive relationships with clients.
  • Act as the point of contact and handle customers’ individual needs.
  • Generate new business using existing and potential customers.
  • Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.
  • Generate custom solutions with QuickDesign from customer circuits and utilise to provide pricing.
  • Generate sales quotations/proposals, via costings.
  • Achieve/Exceed Sales Targets and KPI’s.
  • Project manage solutions from inception through to customer delivery.
  • Work with Technical Team in developing proposals to customer requirements.
  • Answer technical questions on products and provide application of product.
  • Interpret & understand customer hydraulic circuits to understand customer requirements.
  • Provide field customer support for installation and initial simple trouble shooting assistance.
  • Provide support for other departments with customer orders.
  • Provide basic external training on Sun Products.
  • Provide support for warranty returns.
  • Understand, apply and up hold Sun core values.
