BFPA to Chair the 2018 Appetite for Engineering Conference

19 Sep 2018

The Appetite for Engineering Conference was originally spawned out of attempts to encourage engineers to consider a career in what is actually Britain’s largest and most successful industry – Food Manufacturing. However, over the years, whilst retaining one foot firmly in the food industry sector it has now evolved to become a flag-ship event in promoting new and innovative technology across the wider engineering sector.

As was the case last year, Chris Buxton, BFPA CEO, will be Chairing the 2018 event which will take place on the 18th of October at the Manufacturing Technology Centre, Ansty near Coventry.

This year, the emphasis will be upon the rapid evolution of new technologies, digitalisation, industry 4.0 and AI in UK Engineering and in particular, its penetration into the Food Engineering sector. A one day event, the conference concludes with the Food Manufacturing Awards dinner at the Double Tree by Hilton just a mile or so from the MTC.

Members, (especially those with a presence in the food industry), are encouraged to seriously consider attending the event. Speakers include a selection of experts and end-users and there will lots of opportunity to network and make new contacts. Further details can be obtained either from the website www.appetite4eng.co.uk or directly from Chris Buxton on 07787 400747.
