BFPA’s 60th Anniversary Dinner and Ball

25 Jul 2019

BFPA’s 60th Anniversary Dinner and Ball was held at The Dorchester on Friday 21 June 2019 and was a great success.

Over 200 members, partners and guests enjoyed an evening of marvellous socialising and entertainment to celebrate the British fluid power industry and the technology’s continued relevance and importance in modern day engineering in BFPA’s 60th year.

The evening entertainment started with silhouette artists cutting life like outlines of guests and a professional mind reader reaching into the innermost depths of guests’ minds, revealing their thoughts.

BFPA CEO, Chris Buxton, welcomed guests to the event and thanked sponsors Pirtek and Parker for their generous contribution. A delicious three course meal followed with the drinks flowing.

After dinner, the BFPA President and Company Secretary, Hans Waltl, gave an enthralling speech reviewing the last 60 years of the BFPA. A special mention was given to Yvonne Pearman for her dedication in her role as Secretary to the Technical Committees. The mantle was handed to Nigel Thomason, BFPDA Chairman, to pull the lucky winner of the night’s raffle – Congratulations go to Chris Stuckey of Pirtek.

The Rockabellas continued the glamourous feel to the evening with their stunning harmonies and bright costumes.

Party band Rollacoaster saw the night to a close with a packed dancefloor throughout.

Our thanks to everyone who made it such an enjoyable and memorable evening…until next time!
