Bookings are now been taken for BFPA’s new International Conference on ‘Managing Fluid and Lubricant Contamination’ in September 2018.

BFPA and the University of Bath, Centre for Power Transmission and Motion Control are organising an international conference on:

Managing Fluid and Lubricant Contamination

to be held at the Centre for Power Transmission and Motion Control, Bath, England 10-12 September 2018 and will includes a conference dinner and social event one evening.

The conference will confirm the importance of minimising hydraulic fluid and lubricant contamination and how recent developments may be changing our appreciation of what constitutes ‘cleanliness’.

The principal themes of the conference are:

  • Contaminant formation
  • Varnish – an increasing problem in major applications
  • Developments in test methods for assessing fluid and lubricant cleanliness
  • Changes to the classification of cleanliness
  • The control of fluid cleanliness and contamination by air, water and particulates
  • Case studies of problems associated with cleanliness and contamination
