Fluid Power Industry Charity Fundraisers

Well done to Rob Woodley of Derek Lane and Company (and his son and son-in-law) who completed his second Distinguished Gentleman’s Motorcycle Ride in support of Men’s Mental Health and awareness of Prostate Cancer on Sunday the 22nd May 2022, to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men’s mental health on behalf of Movember.

Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before we press our tweed and polish our boots, we are asking you to join us in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives…

And congratulations to John Farmer, BFPA President and Commercial Director of Flowtech Fluidpower plc, for supporting work colleague Jenny Oldfield’s Pancreatic Cancer Fundraiser recently at a work Charity Day. John commented: “I like my father have always had facial hair of some sorts since my first fluff on my top lip appeared at the age of around 13. On the 14th of July, I removed my facial hair for a period of 7 days for a pancreatic cancer charity. Having worked for the business for over 23 years it was the first time my work colleagues had seen me cleanly shaved!
