Hydraulic and Offshore Supplies accredited to ISO 9001:2015

Sunderland-based BFPDA member Hydraulic and Offshore Supplies Limited, has been awarded ISO 9001:2015.

The company is a supplier and installer of hydraulic hose, fittings, instrumentation, and pipeline materials to a range of industrial sectors and is also a member of the BFPDA Approved Hose Assemblies scheme as well as holding other accreditations from testing bodies Lloyds and ABS.

Don Fenwick, Managing Director of Hydraulic and Offshore Supplies, commented: “We are truly delighted to be ISO9001:2015 accredited. This is an important milestone in our 30-year history and demonstrates our commitment to continuously grow and improve.

“Not only does this accreditation give our customers peace of mind that they are working with a company that has a strong reputation for quality and technical knowledge, but we have also noticed some internal improvements. Our Quality Management System has increased in efficiency since the accreditation, which has further improved our already strong customer relationships.”

With over 30 years trading experience, initial growth centred on marine and offshore industries. However the company has since then successfully expanded its customer base across other engineering sectors including energy, petrochemical, power generation, automotive and food and drink in the UK and globally.

US Ambassador takes time out of conference to visit HydraForce

US Ambassador Robert Wood Johnson visited American-owned BFPA member HydraForce Hydraulics Ltd, at Birmingham’s Advanced Manufacturing Hub on June 7 to see, first-hand, an investment made by its American-owned parent company into the UK.

Ambassador Johnson made the trip to Birmingham to speak at the 2018 Transatlantic Conference of the British-American Business Council, an annual event which encourages investment on both sides of the Atlantic. During his visit, he was keen to visit the US company which has been experiencing significant global growth.

 

The visit to HydraForce’s European headquarters on Aston Hall Road, gave Ambassador Johnson the opportunity to speak with the company’s management and meet other employees including apprentices and undergraduates. Both the Apprentice and Undergraduate schemes are helping to grow young engineering talent in the UK.

Tony Brown, Managing Director said: “We were able to brief the Ambassador on the company’s strong growth over the last three years. As a global business, we work closely with HydraForce Hydraulics Inc to support our customers across the world.”

Regent Trist Hydraulics wins supplier award for outstanding performance

BFPDA member Regent Trist Hydraulics has been presented with a Niftylift Supplier Award for outstanding supplier performance. The company beat more than 200 suppliers to win the award which scored each supplier on delivery times, quality of the products and cost optimisation. The award recognised Regent Trist’s excellent customer support particularly in the following areas: high quality product, delivery success as measured by timing and quantities to match Niftylift’s schedules and competitive pricing for the previous 12 months.

Announcement of the passing of Tony Middleton of STAUFF UK

STAUFF UK would like to offer their condolences to the Middleton family on the tragic passing of Tony Middleton on Thursday 24 May 2018.

Tony, who has served the company as an ASM for 20 years, is survived by wife Debbie and three children: Dan, Melissa and Toby.
