BFPA member Webtec Products Ltd have announced a new joint venture with HTM Hydraulics Pvt Ltd. This is an important strategic agreement for Webtec as it expands its sales and services into India’s fast growing hydraulics market.
Bangalore-based HTM Hydraulics brings extensive local market knowledge and understanding, which will greatly complement Webtec’s expertise in hydraulic component design and manufacture. This new venture will enable distributors and customers to gain greater access to technical sales, engineering and marketing expertise as well as direct access to Webtec’s manufacturing, resulting in improved productivity, reduced downtime and lower total cost of ownership.
Martin Cuthbert, Webtec’s CEO commented on the agreement, “this is a great opportunity to extend our reach into India and so it has been important to choose the right partner, which HTM is. We are looking forward to growing our market share and also upgrading our repair and recalibration facility for Webtec hydraulic test equipment giving our India customers a faster and more comprehensive service”.
BFPA member Aventics, headquartered in Laatzen, Germany, have announced the appointment of Andreas Ostermann von Roth as Chief Operating Officer, from 1 January 2018, in charge of the Aventics plants in Laatzen, Bonneville, Eger, Lexington and Changzhou, as well areas of procurement, logistics and quality management.

Interpump Group (Interpump Hydraulics UK are a BFPA member) have announced the acquisition of the international assets of Finland-based GS-Hydro group, a world leader in design and execution of piping systems in the industrial, marine, and offshore sectors. GS-Hydro (who are a member of the BFPA in the UK), revolutionized the piping industry with the invention of “non-welded” pipe assembly technology. This clean and time-efficient technology, along with an improvement of the environmental impact, guarantees better technical performance and ease of operation, and thus proves especially useful in continuous or extreme working conditions.

BFPA member Holmbury Limited, manufacturer and global provider of hydraulic quick release couplings, has appointed James French as their new Managing Director. James, previously Commercial Director, who has been with the company for four years, has a background in economics and management and experience in consultancy, as well as knowledge of the hydraulic industry.
Since the New Year, Holmbury Group has further strengthened its sales team with the recent appointment of Johnathan Jarvis in the position of General Sales Manager assuming responsibility for domestic and overseas sales. Johnathan brings with him a wealth of experience managing distribution networks and OEM customers in the fluid power and power transmission markets, including successful tenures with Teleflex Fluid Systems Europe, Managing Director of Xtraflex UK and most recently Gates Corporation.
Holmbury Group has also made changes to the internal sales staff. As part of the Company’s ongoing commitment to improve customer service former sales administrator Sam Stolton has been appointed Internal Sales Manager and Marcus Midmer has recently joined the company to expand the internal sales team.
Holmbury is a global provider of hydraulic quick release coupling, valves and other hydraulic components.
