The Motion Control Industry Awards and Dinner 10 April 2018
On the evening of 10 April, the Motion Control Industry Awards will be staged at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham. The gala awards dinner offers a chance to network with the industry’s best and brightest.

This year, BFPA is sponsoring the Contribution to Skills and Training Award and will have a table at the event.

BFPA AGM 16 May 2018
BFPA will be holding its AGM on Wednesday 16 May. The final details are yet to be confirmed but will include an interesting and topical speaker – keep the date in your diary if you may want to attend and watch out for Emails soon.

BFPA International Conference on Managing Fluid and Lubricant Contamination 10 – 11 September 2018
The BFPA’s new International Conference on ‘Managing Fluid and Lubricant Contamination’ will take place at the Centre for Power Transmission and Motion Control, Bath, England on 10 and 11 September 2018.

The BFPA is organising an international conference on: Managing Fluid and Lubricant Contamination and will confirm the importance of minimising hydraulic fluid and lubricant contamination and how recent developments may be changing our appreciation of what constitutes ‘cleanliness’.

The principal themes of the conference are:

  • Contaminant formation
  • Varnish – an increasing problem in major applications
  • Developments in test methods for assessing fluid and lubricant cleanliness
  • Changes to the classification of cleanliness
  • The control of fluid cleanliness and contamination by air, water and particulates
  • Case studies of problems associated with cleanliness and contamination

BFPA Economic Seminar 10 October 2018
This years’ Economic Forecast Event will be held on 10 October 2018 in the Midlands. Details are yet to be confirmed but save the date if you wish to attend this useful forecasting and networking event. Oxford Economics will deliver their usual global economic outlook and fluid power forecast, with supporting speakers.
