BFPA Supports JCB Academy Awards evening

07 Aug 2017

The JCB Academy is a non-selective co-educational secondary school within the English University Technical College programme.  Based in Rocester, Staffordshire, England, it specialises in engineering and business qualifications and enjoys the passionate support of not only its founder Lord Bamford, but also a selection of key industry organisations who play an important role in the JCB supply chain.  The BFPA is amongst those supporters and each year sponsors two student award categories.

For 2017, the categories were selected to try to instil good values and a strong work ethic amongst young students as they move into the work place along, of-course, with encouraging them to use their considerable talents in the Engineering sector as oppose to losing them to other disciplines.

This year’s BFPA sponsored award winners, who were presented their awards by Chris Buxton of the BFPA in July, were:-

Rebecca Rothwell – Manufacturing Student of the Year (Year 13)
Jessica Williams – Achieving through Action (Year 11)
