Flowtech celebrates 40 years in fluid power in 2023

2023 is a special year for Flowtech as they celebrate 40 years of success in the fluid power industry and they will be sharing the festivities with customers and suppliers, so look out for special events and announcements throughout the year.
Flowtech have come a long way over the last four decades. It all started in 1983, with the founding of a small company based in the north west of England. They sold quick release couplings to garage forecourts and grew quickly, gaining an exclusive Rectus distributorship in 1986. They were also one of the first companies in the UK to hold ISO accreditation.
Back in 1995, Flowtech published their first catalogue with Distributor branding and over the intervening years their catalogues have been developed and refined to include thousands of products for the pneumatics, hydraulics, industrial and process & instrumentation sectors.
Flowtech settled into purpose-built offices and warehouse in Skelmersdale in 1999 the logistics centre has seen many expansions and improvements over the years, including state-of-the-art Kardex lift systems. The warehouse isn’t the only thing that evolved over time; Flowtech expanded into Benelux in 2007, and acquired other companies to add to their extensive range of products and services. Other highlights include being listed on the AIM stock exchange in 2014, and launching the fluid power industry’s first mobile app in 2015.
2022 saw the business rebrand as Flowtech and the merging of acquired businesses into one, giving a new outlook and making even more products available across the pneumatic, hydraulic, industrial, process & instrumentation and compressed air sectors.
Flowtech have worked hard over the last 40 years to shape themselves into the company it is today… the UK’s largest distributor of fluid power products.
