New BFPA President and BFPDA Council Chairman Elected at 2023 AGMs

BFPA’s 37th AGM was held on 25th May 2023 and was attended by over 60 BFPA members. New BFPA President, Rebecca Galley of Hydroscand Limited was elected to serve for two years. Peter Willson of Hopespare Limited was elected as the new Distributor Council Chairman at the 34th AGM of the BFPDA and will also serve a two-year term of office.
The new incoming Vice President of the BFPA is Swapnil Khedekar of Festo Limited, and the new Vice Chairman of the Distributor Council is Nick West of Allswage UK Limited. We wish all our new officers every success in their roles and look forward to working with them.

Thanks were given to long-serving retiring BFPA Board members Steve Cardew of Kawasaki Precision Machinery Limited, George Beswick of Alfa Gomma UK Limited, Kevin Mooney of Moog Industrial Group and Paul Dunlop of Pirtek UK Limited. In addition, a huge thanks from the BFPA team at Chipping Norton also goes to the outgoing BFPA President John Farmer, Commercial Director of Flowtech, and Rob Woodley of Derek Lane & Company, who have done a great job in their two years of office serving the fluid power industry and the BFPA and BFPA Distributor Council. John and Rob were awarded lifetime Fellowship of the BFPA at the AGM by BFPA MD Chris Butcher.
It was a pleasure to welcome seven new BFPA Board members this year: Christopher Hamlett of Alfa Gomma UK Limited, Andy Whiteford of Danfoss Power Solutions Limited, Swapnil Khedekar of Festo Limited, John Glover of Kawasaki Precision Machinery Limited, Chris Curr of Moog Industrial Group, Adam Burrows of Pirtek UK Limited and Nick Pittwood of SMC Corporation (UK) Limited. In addition, Peter Willson of Hopespare and Nick West of Allswage join the Board to represent distributor members.
